An outcome area of NADA’s Strategic Plan 2009 – 2011 is providing leadership and advocacy on drug and alcohol policy and service system development. To support NADA to achieve this, a Strategic Policy and Advocacy Framework for 2009-2011 has been developed.
NADA aims to fulfil its policy and advocacy role by:
NADA’s primary policy priorities as outlined in the Policy and Advocacy Strategic Framework are: 2. Consumer/service user participation 3. Health Promotion, Prevention and Early Intervention - A NADA Health Promotion Subcommittee exists which deals with health promotion related policy issues. NEW Policy, Advocacy and Representation Reports To better document NADA's policy, advocacy and representation activities, NADA prepares a bi-monthly report summarising its key activities.
NADA Policy and Advocacy Subcommittee The NADA Board of Directors has established a Policy and Advocacy Subcommittee for discussion and analysis of key policy and advocacy issues for the non government drug and alcohol sector, in particular the primary policy priorities outlined above. The role of the Subcommittee is to:
1. Engage in analysis of key policy and advocacy issues affecting the sector
