Our Networks

Multicultural AOD network

This network plays a vital role in enhancing equity, building capacity, and strengthening trust in AOD services for multicultural communities. It provides a dedicated space for culturally diverse workers and stakeholders to connect, share practice knowledge, and raise issues relevant to working with people from multicultural backgrounds. Through peer support, training, and collaborative initiatives, the network strengthens the sector’s ability to respond to the unique needs of multicultural clients. By promoting culturally responsive practice and embedding inclusive approaches into service delivery, the network supports improved client engagement, service access, and treatment outcomes. It also helps build a more skilled, confident, and culturally aware workforce across the AOD sector.

We meet quarterly for an hour and a half. Our meetings are mobile and can rotate at member service sites to encourage broader participation and shared ownership across the sector. Our members come from a range of services across NSW, and we warmly welcome anyone interested in Multicultural AOD Network to join.
