Description
We Help Ourselves (WHOS) provides a range of alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment programs in NSW and Queensland. Information on WHOS’ services can be found at www.whos.com.au.
Our Southern NSW services located at Goulburn provides two services for clients seeking AOD treatment:
- Mandala House – a residential therapeutic community program
- Goulburn Day Program – a non-residential program
WHOS is looking for permanent full-time and part-time Community Service Workers to join the SNSW team, based in Goulburn. The roles involve:
- assessment, referral, and education,
- supervising and supporting clients in a residential setting,
- implementing a structured daily program (which includes facilitating groups),
- conducting therapeutic interventions.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications in community services, AOD, mental health or related field.
- Experience working with clients that have AOD use disorders and associated issues.
- Knowledge and understanding of harm reduction strategies.
- Ability to work shiftwork, afternoon/evening/weekend shifts.
- Ability to facilitate groups.
Remuneration:
- Remuneration - SCHADSI Award based on experience
- Salary packaging is available
