Description

  • Lead NUAA’s BBV harm-reduction programs across NSW.
  • Oversee program planning, risk management, evaluation and quality improvement.
  • Manage staff supervision, wellbeing and development.
  • Build partnerships with LHDs, community organisations and research partners.
  • Drive the design and implementation of the new Western Sydney NSP.
  • Ensure compliance with all NUAA policies, procedures and legislative frameworks.
  • Contribute to organisational strategy, funding proposals and continuous improvement.

Requirement

Essential selection criteria for this role are:

  • Brings lived and/or living experience of drug use and deep understanding of BBV and harm reduction.
  • Has at least five years’ experience in harm reduction, community or public health services.
  • Is a confident leader and mentor with proven program and staff management experience.
  • Can think strategically and translate ideas into operational outcomes.
  • Understands partnership-building across the community and health sectors.
  • Can manage budgets, contracts and compliance with professionalism and integrity.
  • Holds a current driver’s licence and can travel within NSW.


Desirable:

  • Experience establishing or re-establishing community health services in collaboration with Local Health Districts.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (health, community services or management).
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and multicultural communities.
