Description


WHOS Gunyah is looking for a fulltime AOD Community Service Worker to join our men’s program, Gunyah, based at Lilyfield NSW. The role involves:

  • assessment, referral, and education,
  • supervising and supporting clients in a residential setting,
  • delivering a structured daily program (which includes facilitating various process and groups), 
  • conducting therapeutic interventions

Requirement


Applicants must respond to the Selection Criteria below:

  • Certificate IV or higher in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health (or similar).
  • Ability to work day, evening and weekend shifts as required.
  • Experience in facilitating groups.
  • Experience in or knowledge of residential treatment services. 
  • Experience working with clients that have AOD and associated conditions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation strategies.
  • Full driver’s licence

Remuneration:

  • Remuneration is in accordance with the SCHADSI Award.
  • Salary packaging is available.
